Review
I read Andy Weir’s The Martian probably 10 years ago now. I remember reading the entire book in a day or two. This book is similar. Relatively short chapters with a lot going on leave the pages flying by. Further accentuated by the fact I was reading a large print edition. Always wanting to read another chapter to see what happened next left me staying up too late a few times.

The major dilemmas Rocky and Grace faced were gripping. Grace going back to save Rocky at the end was touching. I liked the ending of only seeing what happened on Grace’s planet and the only closure from Earth being that the Sun is back to normal light output.
At times the humor and the science geek talk felt overdone to me.
